AHSAG PRESIDENT EMBARK ON A TWO DAY WORKING VISIT

The President of the Association of Health Service Administrators, Ghana – AHSAG, Rev. Ezekiel Amadu Daribi embarked on a two day working visit on the 23rd and 24th July, 2025 to the Greater Accra and the Central Regions respectively.

The visit was to officially open the Continuous Professional Development [CPD] of the Greater Accra Caucus as the Caucus Parent and also to climax the 10th anniversary of the Health Administration and Education Students Association [HAESA], University of Education, Winneba, as the Special Guest of Honour.

The President at his opening remarks on Wednesday, 23rd July 2025, indicated his support to the Greater Accra Regional Caucus, adding that they are the eye of the Association [based on their numbers]. He thanked the Caucus Executives for the excellent organization and also coming out with a theme that reflected current trends.

Reflecting on the theme, Rev. Daribi called on members to demonstrate leadership at their workplaces despite all hindrances. He also admonished members to show quality at their workplaces and also pleaded with them to step up to positions when they become available.

Thursday, 24th July 2025, saw the President deliver a speech as the Special Guest during the climax of the 10th Anniversary of the Health Administration and Education Students Association [HAESA], University of Education, Winneba.

Addressing the students and the dignitaries gathered, Rev. Ezekiel Amadu Daribi congratulated the Head of Department, Prof. Fred Ggabo, the Patron and the leadership of HAESA for the excellent work done and for the beautiful organization they have put out. He also noted that the theme was timely and relevant one.

He also called on the students Group and AHSAG to think through if there could be a Union of Health Administration Students across all the campuses offering the course dubbed “National Union of Health Administration Students, Ghana [NUHASG]. He reiterated that due to the increasing number of Health Administration Students who churn out at the end of every academic year and the issue of Financial Clearance, a Union of this nature will help policy makers address some of these issues.

He called on Health Service Administrators to demonstrate leadership, adding that “The strength of every healthcare system is not measured only by the number of clinicians or equipment in the health facilities but by the quality of its Administration, simply leadership”- Rev. Ezekiel Amadu Daribi. He further encouraged the students to rise to the occasion to solve issues emanating from the dynamic changes in healthcare as they are the future managers of Health Administration in Ghana and beyond.

He also called on the students to embrace digitalization and Technology, show compassion and integrity, be open to change as healthcare is constantly evolving, show leadership at wherever they find themselves and also work as a team.

The President concluded by admonishing the participants to collaborate and never stop improving themselves as healthcare is dynamic.

Joining the President during the tour is the National Public Relations Officer, Evans Akwasi Appiah.

Also in attendance in Winneba were the Central Regional Caucus Chairman, Mr. Abdallah Gado Shardow, the Hospital Administrator for the University of Education Hospital, Mr. Isaac Darkoh and the Hospital Administrator for the Trauma and Specialist Hospital, Winneba, Mr. Tijani Khidir Saed.
