A two day workshop was organized for Hospital Administrators and Health Service Administrators within the Ghana Health Service, Ashanti. The workshop brought together Health Service Administrators and Hospital Administrators in the Ghana Health Service, Ashanti to deliberate on key focus areas including Leadership in Resource-Constrained setting, Supply Chain, Ethical Governance and Critical Thinking.
Facilitators included the Regional Director of Health Service, Ashanti, Dr. Fred Adomako Boateng who took participants through Quality Improvement in Hospitals for better outcomes, Deputy Director, Administration, Mr. Asare Bediako Micah who enlightened members on Building Significant Retirement Wealth with Minimal Investments and Ethical Governance in Hospitals, Deputy Director, Human Resource, Ms. Modesta Abbem, who took participants through Performance Management, Deputy Director, Clinical Care, Dr. [Mrs.] Rita Larsen-Rheindorf who enlightened members on Directional-Alignment-Commitment [DAC] Leadership framework and Mr. Vincent Yevu, Regional Procurement Manager who discussed Procurement Planning with participants.
Panel Discussions were held and were moderated by senior colleagues Mr. Yaw Boamah, Former Deputy Director, Administration, Ashanti and Mr. Kofi Poku, Former Director of Health Administration and Support Services, Ghana Health Service who discussed the Role of Health Service Administrators in creating a supportive environment for staff and Adherence to Quality Management Practices respectively.
The two day workshop was a success and members were happy to have undergone this training especially on Retirement planning.
