VOLTA REGIONAL CAUCUS ELECTS NEW EXECUTIVES

The Volta and Oti Caucuses of the Association of Health Service Administrators, Ghana – AHSAG held a joint two day Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to share knowledge and also profer ideas.

The CPD which was held at Sun City Hotel, Adidome, brought together Hospital Administrators and Health Service Administrators to learn and also discuss issues on key topics.

Day 1 saw the team met the new Regional Director of Health Service [RDHS] for Volta Region, Dr. Atsu Dordor who tasked members to develop innovative measures to attract doctors to the region.

There wa also presentation by the Deputy Director, Administration [DDA], Mr. Charles Torkornoo who took participants through improving the Health Administration and Support Services (HASS) Division at the Volta Regional Health Directorate as well as the various facilities and also strategic roles of Health Service Administrators.

The 2nd day saw the Deputy Director, Clinical Care [DDCC] take participants through “Network of Practice [NoPs]” and the role of Health Service Administrators play in NoPs.

The 2 day training ended with the election of new executives to steer the affairs of the Volta Caucus of AHSAG. Mr. Farouk A. Iddrisu was elected as the new Caucus Chairman for the Volta Caucus.

AHSAG congratulates Mr. Farouk A. Iddrisu on his election as the new Caucus Chairman and wishes him well.
